- In charge of finance
- Deposits the Association's money and other value into the financial institution designated by the Board of Directors
- Tabulates, maintains, and keeps proper bookkeeping and accounting records
- Reports on all transactions and produces periodic financial statements
- Ensures audits of accounting books by authorised persons
- Signs all contracts, documents or other involving a financial commitment
Bibliographic Notes
A chartered professional accountant (CPA) for 34 years, Daniel began his career with chartered accounting firms, where he worked on external auditing mandates for six years.
Since 1993, he has been Director of Financial Services at the Centre de services scolaires des Sommets in the Eastern Townships (MRC Memphrémagog, MRC Val-St-François and MRC Val-des-Sources). During his 29-year career, he also managed the Material Resources Department, from 2001 to 2021.
Aged 59 and living in Magog, Daniel became an ABA member in 2014. Since 2019, he has been one of ABA's two financial auditor members.
On the verge of retirement and with a passion for management, Daniel is keen to get involved and collaborate with the ABA Board of Directors to help the Association grow to meet the challenges of the future.
Daniel's grandparents (Edgar and Eva Tardif) married in Kingsey-Falls, MRC d'Arthabaska, in the early 1920s.
