Club des Méritants (Award Club)

The Association des Blais d'Amérique wants to recognize and honor its members’ volunteer work during the fiscal year (June 1 to May 31). Any member in good standing who receives an honorary distinction or management recognition is eligible for this “Club des Méritants” through his/her implication in various Association activities:

• Research and genealogical aid
• Recruiting new member
• Recruiting financial sponsors
• Journal des Blais
• Annual meeting
• Blais history
• Sale of promotional items
• Regional representation
• Active role in Board of Directors
• Active role in various Association committees
• Any other involvement deserving recognition

Volunteers are easily taken for granted within an association, they nevertheless play important roles. A tangible recognition of their work will thank them and stimulate others to imitate them.

Members of the Board or any other member in good standing can nominate a member for the “Club des Méritants”. To do so, send the name of the candidate and the reasons for which he/she should become a member of the “Club des Méritants”. Nominations must be sent in before July 1st:

The executive of the Board of Directors decides which volunteers will be honored following the rules established in the “Policy of Honorary Distinction and Management Awards” in force. The selected volunteers will receive a certificate for their contribution to the advancement of the Association des Blais d’Amérique at the Annual General Meeting, usually held during the annual meeting.
