The Genealogy Committee
The Genealogy Committee was established in January 2005; its aim: to produce the Genealogical Dictionary of the Blais of America, which was published in 2008. As Board of Directors’ representative, Serge Blais led this committee and Jacques Blais was the project manager. They were assisted by two other genealogists, Yves Blais and Gilles Blais.
Other members of the committee collaborated at different stages of the project and at the request of the genealogists. This was team work and we knew that this project would foster collective pride.
The current genealogy committee members are:
- Jacques Blais, Head genealogist and in charge of the Blais database;
- Serge Blais, Genealogist;
- Guy Morin, Board of Directors representative; and
- Louise Tucker, Assistant genealogist.

Become a collaborator
Look into your attics and drawers; get out old genealogies, family papers, stories, obituary bookmarks, newspaper clippings, films, photos, publications, written or other, to add to the history of the Blais.
We hope all Blais will collaborate!
