Claude Blais (M-560) lives in Grande-Rivière in the beautiful Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine region. Claude spent his career with the Sûreté du Québec from 1979 to 2007. After holding a variety of positions and ranks within the organization, he began holding management positions in 1993. From 1999 to December 2007, he was regional chief at the rank of inspector for the Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine region, where he directed the police and administrative activities of the Sûreté du Québec.

Since his retirement, Claude has been involved with a number of local organizations. He is currently involved with the local Alzheimer's Society as administrator and instigator of the Memory Run, a 600 km relay race around the Gaspé Peninsula to raise funds for the organization.

He enjoys running to keep in shape. In fact, he ran a marathon in Saint Jérôme on his 65th birthday. He has been interested in ABA for several years. Among other things, he helped organize the 2016 gathering in Grande-Rivière. He also served on our Association's Board of Directors from 2017 to 2019. Claude will assume the tasks of promotion and recruitment for the ABA; he will also handle communications and the Facebook page.
