Daughter of Rita Blais and Henri Marcoux, I was born in Saint-Elzéar, Beauce County. I've been married to Gaëtan Prévost for 53 years and a resident of Saint-Lazare, Vaudreuil County, since 1984.

A homemaker until 1980, I then began a professional life in the media world. I worked as Publisher and General Manager of our regional weekly newspaper until my retirement in 2012;

During my 30 years in the Hebdos world, I sat on the board of directors of Hebdos Québec, the association of French-language weeklies in and outside Quebec, for some 20 years. During all these years, I was involved in promoting the people of my region;

I also sat on the Fondation du Centre d'accueil de Vaudreuil, the Corporation du Développement Économique de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CDEVS) and the Fondation du Centre Hospitalier de Valleyfield.

In 2010, my husband and I took part in the Voyage des Blais on the land of our ancestor Pierre Blais.
