The planting of a maple tree, organized by Francine Blais, M-299, was done in memory of the Blais families and to underline the 10th anniversary of Association des Blais which will be celebrated in Chambly on September 12, 2009. 


The following dignitaries carried out the planting : Mrs. Isabelle Langlois, political attaché for Mr. Richard Merlini -Me Denis Lavoie, mayor of Chambly - Mrs. Lucille Blais, president of Association des Blais d'Amérique - Mr. Yves Lessard, member of Parliament for Chambly-Borduas (and Blais by his mother) - Mr. Richard Merlini, member of the Quebec National Assembly for Chambly - The St. Joseph parish priest, Mr. Marcel Trudeau, did the blessing of the tree.
