The Genealogy Committee

Beginnings

Comité de généalogie

The Genealogy Committee was established in January 2005 to write the Genealogical Dictionary of the Blais of America. As Board of Directors representative, Serge Blais took on the leadership of this committee. There are four other genealogists: Jacques Blais is the project manager and he is assisted by three genealogists: Gilles Blais, Yves Blais and Serge Blais. Other members of the committee collaborated at different stages of the project and at the request of the genealogists. This was team work and we knew that this project would generate collective pride.

Currently

The genealogy committee members are currently Jacques Blais, head genealogist and in charge of the Blais database; Serge Blais, genealogist and Board of Directors representative; and Louise Tucker, assistant genealogist.

We have representatives in several provincial MRCs and those representatives are also resource persons. Contact them.

We also have collaborators in some Canadian provinces and in the United States
